WASHINGTON, D.C. (July 30, 2009) – Merrick Towle Communications (MTC), one of the largest advertising agencies in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. region, has promoted Michael Hammerstrom to account executive. The announcement was made by Glenn Towle, chief operating officer and partner of the firm.

Hammerstrom, previously a project coordinator with the agency, is a 2001 graduate of The Boston Conservatory. Before joining MTC in 2007, he spent several years in New York City where he worked as an actor appearing in television and film productions as well as on stage in productions across the country.

His experience also includes project management for a major clothier manufacturer headquartered in New York City’s famed fashion district. A member of the Actors’ Equity Association, Hammerstrom resides in Silver Spring, Md.

“Michael brings a unique set of experiences and skills to our clients, including Metro Properties, Inc., Jupiter Communities, Neighborhood Development Co., Kettler Management, The Penrose Group and M-Point Mortgage Services where he is a key member of the client services team,” said Towle.
