Meet the MTC Masterminds | Sarah Maltas

Mar 02, 2017 by Emily Sarecky

Sarah Maltas +Project Manager

You know when people talk about “the glue that holds everything together”? Yeah, that’s basically our project management department. They’re behind-the-scenes ninjas that make sure shit gets done. When projects are due, who does what, what goes where, where is where, when is when and if that’s really when, who did what and why, how – yeah, exactly.

Meet Sarah Maltas, one of our project manager ninjas. She spends most of her time at MTC keeping everything and everyone on track. But that’s not all. Sarah is a super talented artist and has been able to wear that hat for a few projects, as well! (Peep Anthology posters below).

Let’s get to know Sarah a little bit more, shall we?

Q: When people ask you what you do, how do you respond?

Well, it usually goes like…

“I work at an ad agency.”

They come back with: “Like Mad Men?”

Me: “Yes, just like that.”

Them: “What do you do?”

Me: “You know the redhead? Pretty much what she does, but with less…um, assets.”

Q: ‘Fess up: what’s your hidden talent?

A: Filling out questionnaires.

Q: If you could only have ONE superpower, what would it be and why?

A: Well, right off the bat I’d say Everyman, Comic Book Guy’s superhero on The Simpsons. His power is the ability to touch a comic and get the main character’s power. The only downside is, his alter ego is, like, Comic Book Guy, and I don’t think I need to explain why that wouldn’t be ideal! I’d also pick Rogue from X-Men, but her personal relationships don’t go so well. If I could have one of those without the downside then that would be my answer, hands down. Or teleporting. Or controlling the elements, like the Avatar. I’d also like to be able to turn into animals. I’d pick all of these things because they would clearly be awesome.

(We’re allowing her to break the rules on that Q&A, since her previous answer was all of three words. 😉

Q: When you’re not at MTC, what are you likely doing?

A: The coolest thing you could possibly think of.

(Obviously. But according to her Instagram, it’s listening to Hall & Oates and doing some badass watercolor.)

Q: And now for the final question… If you could have dinner with anyone (past, present or future), who would it be?

A: Kurt Vonnegut.

(And she didn’t tell us why! So, you’ll have to ask her next time you talk to her and find out.)

Now that you’ve gotten to know Sarah a bit more, get to know the rest of our amazing team and stay tuned for more MTC Mastermind features!
