The Remy, brand new apartments in Lanham, MD, have positioned themselves as a retreat from everyday stresses. Everything from the amenities, to the features, to the friendly staff and events that they host for residents monthly – there are plenty of factors that back up that claim and truly provide an oasis for their residents.
When it was time to develop the engagement campaign, we knew our audience would be tricky to pin down. The audience could be coming from anywhere between DC –> P.G. County –>National Harbor. Social media was the best bet for getting in front of this large audience.
In late summer/early fall, we launched the “What’s Your Oasis” photo contest. To enter, you just had to upload a photo that represented how you like to escape or retreat from everyday stresses with hashtag #RemyOasis to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. The prize? Another escape – a $500 Airbnb gift card. Associating The Remy with this contest immediately tied the property to the idea of finding an oasis.
The photo contest lived on The Remy website and was promoted via email blasts (prospect and purchased lists), social media (organic and paid) and through influencers.
The influencers came and toured The Remy, then posted to their blogs and social media sites. Not only did we get exposure for the property from their tour but the influencers also promoted the contest and encouraged their followers to enter.
